Britain’s recent exit from the European Union has affected the global economy in many ways. In a recent article, businessman Flavio Maluf attempts to analyze the effects of this exit when viewed from an economic perspective.
According to Flavio, the June referendum could have a lot of consequences on the British economy. There could be a significant drop in investment rates in the country as a result of the move to limit the free movement of people and goods between the country and the organization.
The action by the Britons could also impact the foreign trade between Britain and the whole Europe. Countries within the EU enjoy free tariffs as they trade with each other. Flavio fears that Britain will be locked out of a smooth trade marked by new tariff rates to traders from the country. He also adds that Brazilian imports and exports could be heading in a positive direction as a result of the exit. The country will now have a chance to enter into agreements with Britain without the EU standard limits. Lastly, Flavio says that the move is an obvious loss to the European Union. Britain was one of the core contributors in the organization alongside France and Germany. France has begun to show signs of a failing economy, which means the organization is likely to experience a significant decrease in its financial capability.
